I've seen, I've never seen a yellowed space bar.
Greenock used ABS for space bars instead of PBT, so this probably came from there.
The cable may be loose and just sitting where we happen to see it.
It says Scotland in the listing, so it looks to be from Greenock. Interesting to know that Greenock used ABS for the space bars.
Really cool caps :3
I'd want either APL or Hebrew for my keycaps. Not because I'd use it, but simply because it looks interesting. I wonder if Unicomp does colored APL legends... They say that they have a wide assortment of legends from the IBM days (like PD1, PD2 and PD3 for the 4704 keyboards). I'll send them an e-mail and find out...
they also used a grounding clip under the spacebar.
about APL, I had a lead on an APL F122 for about $110, but sadly it was purchased by someone else before I scrounged enough cash to buy it. I think there may also have been an unsaver APL, but I forget the price.
Just look up the APL PNs on recycledgoods or old IBM manuels and catalogs, then search parts places fro them.
The part number is correct for the Hebrew keyboard.
What's odd about the listing is it says the keyboard is located in Ramat Gan, Israel, but lists free shipping to the US and international shipping to Israel of $57.
Still, a nice find.
On the APL question it could be worth asking Unicomp if you can get a set of them, they may still have old stock.
I bet it's an APO/FPO guy.
about unicomp and APL: they actually carried an M122 in APL for quite a while, into the mid 2000's. Recently, they had like three sets of APL keycaps (that were presumably NOS) for sale on their site (right when the GH keycaps went up for sale). Though they were out last time I asked. With their new dyesub process, they can presumably make more anytime, but I doubt they will.
about the keycaps: I really like how they are right aligned! If anyone here gets it, I'd be interested in the number row for sure.
