RK9000 usb port broke; need tips on soldering :<

After jumping head first into trying to repair the thing myself, I have ended up stuck with two questions.

I have cut and stripped one of the cables that came with the keyboard; the PS/2 to mini USB. And I've looked up the pinouts for said USB and they're to be in the order: red - white - green - ? - black. Which leaves me slightly confused because the usb cable only splits into the four colors red white green and black. The tiny USB port that I've removed also had a wire in all five connections. Is there something I need to do with the last connection? Or will I simply leave one connection empty?

Finally, and most importantly, which 'direction' should the pinout be arranged on those five connectors? Tracing the wires from the mini USB port I removed, it would either be from left-to-right or right-to-left in a straight forward fashion.
