actually i just noticed that both these noctua cases dont have any tape on them...i haven't removed them from the boxes though...

No, that means it has the LGA 2011 mounts where the regular did not come with them and yes it will fit LGA 1156/1155/1150 since they all mount the same. This is a great deal, the cooler by itself is about $75 and the fan is $25 not including the shipping.

Edit: I was wrong, the cooler only comes LGA 2011 mount, you will need to purchase a separate NM-i115x mounting kit to work with your LGA 1155.
