Verkkokauppa Topre Layout

Hi,

I noticed that the Topre keyboard at Verkokauppa is significantly cheaper than the only other vendor I can find in Europe, but I'm a bit unsure about ordering. I can't find any information about the layout - presumably it's Finnish, but is that significantly different to UK/USA? Does it even matter if I just switch out the keys for a different set anyway? (if that's possible)

It's quite close to Nordic ISO I guess. Frankly it means that standard ANSI US caps won't fit very well.

Topre keyboards from Verkkokauppa have Swedish/Finnish layout. Swedish is a significant minority language in Finland so they use the same layout in Finland for both languages.
It is an ISO layout that is very close to other Nordic layouts. It is somewhat close to German without the swapped Z and Y, and with different symbols next to Return and 1.

Compared to UK layout there are some more differences. All symbol legends and most of the shifted legends on the number row are different from UK.

The layout is exactly as in the photo on the site. The problem with switching caps is that at least I haven't found any complete Topre ISO sets in the years I've owned one. You could always get the black model. With the black on dark grey you won't see the legends anyway so just change language in OS.

All white Topre !!!  Makes me wonder why they didn't do that to the US version too.

Has Topre changed to use some cheap-ass multi-language "Nordic" layout now? That is usually was "Nordic ISO" means: all letters from Swedish/Finnish, Norwegian and Danish layouts printed.

The layout in the pictures is Swedish/Finnish.
