White Alps in the UK?
« on: Wed, 18 February 2009, 15:35:35 »
Hi,
Can anyone recommend a UK-layout board with white Alps switches?  I would buy an Apple Extended Keyboard II from the USA but I just cannot "get on" with the US layout.  It must be a full 102/105 key layout and preferably in black.  Preferably USB, but not essential so long as it can be converted to USB.

Dell AT102W, it can be found in beige or black. Original "bigfoot" black Alps.

They pop up every now and then on ebay.co.uk (I bought a black one myself last year, 105 keys UK layout)

EDIT: ooops sorry I didn't see you explicitly wanted *white* Alps. You wanting the AEK2 confused me, as it doesn't have white Alps anyway. Forget the Dell then.

The Dell has black switches, though, not the clicky whites I think CX23882 is looking for.  I will, however, state that the Dell is a FANTASTIC keyboard.  It certainly one of my favorites.  It might be nice to get one, anyway, as they tend to be very cheap; usually around $10 here in the US.

Black Dell and switch mod.

Also, the AEKII is available in ISO.
