Always liked the case's industrial vibe.  Probably could have easily went for double.  Although I am not up-to-date on current prices.  Seems like a steal though.

it could have but that doesn't make it a good deal even at $80.
plus side is you could harvest the keys and case and throw a g80 PCB in there, would make for a neat mod. but still not worth it :P

Maybe I just like it that much.  Of course a PCB change would have to happen, but I have always really liked the look of the case.  The original dye subs are really cool too.  Would have been worth a fortune a year ago... I forgot that BSP made some sets and imsto's offerings with IvanIvanovich's expertise has produced quality alternatives.

Definately worth $80, I would have paid that much if I had the money. These sets are one of the few ways that you can get dye subbed scoops on the F & J, everything else has nubs or nothing at all.
It's a good width!  If it's half-width it's too narrow, and full-width is too wide.

Whoever bought it.. I'll buy the case alone for $100-ish. You can then sell the famous NCR dyesub keycaps to someone else for $250.

Not I, and my ears do perk up to rare NCR gear.  On the other hand, I've settled on one of these - and I don't see them being sold too often ;).

Someone help Photekq out... you know you only bought this for the dye subs anyway.  Also, I changed the title for better visibility.  I personally think grayscaled keyboards are the best.

The dyesubs are indeed something special. They're Cherry dyesubs (BSP) that have much sharper legends than imsto dyesubs. A real pleasure to type on. They're my favourite kind of keycap (GMK comes close).. This set, unlike the BSP sets you can buy from Sherry/Redline, have scooped f&j keys + a spacebar. There are other non-NCR Cherry keyboards that have dyesubs aswell, but this NCR keyboard has a SLIGHTLY different keycap colour scheme. I believe the legends are a tad more grey and the colours of the keycaps are slightly different. I personally prefer the regular Cherry dyesub colours, but that case.. I adore that case. As Bro has said.. it's those industrial colours. The NCR logo is great too.

It is indeed a beautiful case... looks good with WoB or, of course, white/beige Cherry keycaps.  I have always liked it after seeing the one DanGWanG had.  Good luck with the hunt.  The price had me jump at first, but my phone was set to search for completed items.  It sold in 40 minutes anyway.
