Link: http://takaki.brandrow.com

They sell both white and black cherry mx keycaps. Does anyone have experience with this webshop?

So that's where Takaki went?!

He up and left this forum without a word.

I think some people were still waiting on acrylic TKL cases from him, right?

According to the thread linked below he bought a bunch of caps a while back for a group buy

https://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=38927.0

More recently he had this

https://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=44896.0

But has since disappeared and left most who participated high and dry with no explanation.

To be fair, Takaki is just a last name, it would be like accusing someone with a shop called "miller" to be me.

However, the link in the OP, and the pictures in the thread Ray linked match, down to the watermark.

So it should be safe to assume one should tread with caution.

Now, you don't think I would make associations like that without doing some investigation first? Give me a little more credit than that, bro. :)

I hope it goes smoothly. 38 dollars for white PBT keycaps sounds like a real good deal.

I haven't heard from Takaki (I asked when he would ship in the order description and send several mails afterwards ), so I opened a dispute via Paypal.

I find all this very upsetting. Hate to see so many problems on geekhack. Having done business with Takaki (group buy keycaps) before I did not find him dishonest, and am disappointed to see that he's vanished with money from the Acrylic TKL casing groupbuy and now has this doubtful website that accepts money but doesn't communicate.
Most of the modding can be done on your own once you break through the psychological barriers.

Are these people still around?

Did anyone actually get a completed functional case that didn't require them to fix it themselves?

He still hasn't responded on the claim.

For now I cannot recommend placing an order on Takaki's shop.

Mod edit: please refrain from posting personal information.

It should also mentioned that he screwed up his GB after seemingly abandoning it and left alot of people in the lurch.

He just stopped replying to the group.

At this point, I wish he would just confess that he screwed up or screwed the group over.

He can run away again after that if he wants, unfortunately.
