Bought this earlier from amazon because fry's doesn't always have the best return policy.
Does this mouse require the SS engine to always be on OR can you just install it, set your dpi, etc etc up and then kiss it goodbye?

When you first run the SS engine (for the first time) you set everything up in that piece of software then you erase it off your hard drive.  Everything is stored with the onboard memory in the mouse,  unlike stupid Razer junk  .

Don't make that critical mistake thinking that all mice made now need stupid software installed constantly to activate certain features.  The prize for stupid achievements still go to Razer.
