Searching new mechanical keyboard
« on: Sun, 16 February 2014, 11:41:32 »
Hey guys,

I'm searching a new mechanical keyboard.
My current keyboard is a steelseries 6gv2 but i want to replace the caps cause the keyboard is now over 2 years old and the keycaps are shiny as hell and dont feel good any more. And this is the greatest problem with the 6gv2. U dont find a keycaps set that totally fits the layout cause of the big enter and space key.

So I search a new keyboard with normal layout.
Requirements:
- german layout
- mechanical keyboard
- i'm not totally clear about the switches. I was fine with the mx blacks. Keyboard is for typing, programming and playing games so maybe mx blacks again or mx red ?!
- should not be too expensive
- (desirable) blank PBT keycaps
- i really like the full keyboard layout but maybe i can be ok with a TKL

Thats it. Hope u guys have some good suggestions for me :)

Thanks for ur help

grab a g80-1000 or g80-3000 from one of the guys from DT. a mx1900 or mx1800 is another option, however i do not see to many of those in ISO.

if you must have a ISO in DE layout i would recommend buying a g80-1000 from mintberry (DT) as he always has a few laying around. i got my g80-1000 in ISO/DE from him and he treated me great!

he is very fair as many are and will not rip you off. i think most of the scammers are long gone

for the most part GH'ers stick to the ANSI layout, but you never know there might be a few

a lot of GH'ers and DT'ers are very active in both forums, so put a WTB in the MARKET PLACE over there so people can see you are looking :thumb:
