Matrix, you say?  How's this?

It's still a WIP, so bear with me, but I'm so close to being done!  Just need to throw in a teensy, program it, and bend myself a 7x costar wire.  Can't be too hard, can it?  :P

Jinx it yourself eh

Very neat work, I'm super impressed. Share your methodology?

And how do you insulate your rows from your columns? To my eye they look like naked copper wires running across?

The rows and columns are separated simply by distance.  There's about 2-3mm of space between each crossing wire.  You are correct that everything is bare wire.  As long as nothing shifts or gets squished together I'm hoping that my method will work out.

If you're interested I'd be happy to post some pictures showing the separation from a lower angle than the pictures I've provided above.  :)

Looks alot like lowpoly's m0110. While it's a very elegant method, I don't like trusting things to work as planned. I'm about to start on a M0116 to turn it into a gaming-able thing. Good thing that was the plan when I got it, because I tested it with the imate to make sure it worked and the matrix as-is is completely worthless.
