Ducky Shine 3 - Backspace Problems (stabs?)
« on: Tue, 18 February 2014, 09:12:12 »
Hey guys,

I was wondering if any of you experienced the same thing.
It seems like the other stabs on the shift, tab, enter are fine (they feel roughly close to costar stabs), but the backspace feels a bit stiff and mushy.
I've tried taking the keycap on and off and pressing down hard, but nothing seems to work.

I have no idea what the deal is, but this is not a good sign.
Please post here if you have any thoughts.

Thanks.

Fellow DS3 user here. I don't think I'm experiencing the same problem. Tried to close my eyes while pressing the backspace compared to the other keys aswell.

For how long have you used the board?

Could they have left the stabilizer unclipped for only one key? Try unclipping and readjusting the stabilizer, and make sure to see if the stabilizer was clipped.

I'm not sure I want to play around with the stabs. I don't even know how to check if the stab is clipped or not. I think I might just send it to Mechanical Keyboards.

I'm 99% sure all DS3s have their stabilizers clipped.

Another DS3 user here -- One TKL MX Black and one 108-key MX Brown -- and everything definitely feels as it should over here as well.  I did varslot's "no look" test, but nothing feels funny.  Just thought I'd toss this out there.  Good luck with figuring out what might be wrong. ;)
