The only question is...will it have a standard 6.25x spacebar?

I bet $10 that it has a new stem spacing.

Would love to see this in white. The only problem I have with Leopold are their irregular keycap height and space bar length. Makes it a lot more difficult planning out a set of caps that aren't directly from Leopold themselves.

It looks like they've gone away from the rounded, cheap-looking edges that the 200R has. Also, they've produced an interesting Caps Lock keycap.

Wonder if I would have any more luck with that than I did my FC700R's (both with extreme key chatter rendering them useless to me after a year or less)

Nice. Only minor issue is Leopold likes to use those non standard stem positions for their space bars. I got black, white and gray replacement PBT bars for my 660 just to match some of my sets.

I wonder if it's Costar like their FC600R. It could mean standard spacebar stem spacing.

Leopold should be aware of the fact that custom stem positions reduced the interest of keyboard lovers that like to use custom keycaps sets with their boards.

I don't know if they commonly do, I meant I have had two so far that ended up with it, sadly. Perhaps I got a crappy batch, not real sure.

I think, if stock caps are any good, the need for custom caps is slightly mitigated at any rate.

Yeah... even if they did funny things again with stem spacings... when it come with Cherry profile thick PBT stock... there isn't really a lot of need to replace other than style preference.

My 700R also had chatter issues. I fixed it by putting a piece of drawer linear between the PCB and case. After the fix I've been very happy with my 700R. Enough so that I'm interested in this board.

After a second thought they should be any but sublimated as they are clear color legends on dark PBT. That just can't be done with the sublimation process.

If Leopold makes some of their FC660M's in Korea it will be interesting to see if this is built there as well.

It's difficult to know behind the scenes.  On one hand those Cherry PBT caps will now match the height of all those doubleshots EK has in inventory - on the other hand, what is he going to do with all the ABS pad printed sets?

He is almost out of MX Brown FC200R's - will be interesting to see what is restocked.

It's by far the easiest keyboard mod I've done. I've done it to three boards. Open the keyboard up. Then you buy some drawer liner from a home good store. I got mine at Target for $2 for a big roll. Cut it to the shape of the case, making holes for the stand offs as needed. Lay the drawer liner into the case. Then put the plate/PCB back into the case, sandwiching the liner between the case and PCB. Then replace the top cover.

Takes about 15 minutes and costs less than $2.

Seems to me like this is a revision of their TKL variant that they sold before, though now out of stock everywhere. Would be nice if they did the same to their 60% variant. Definite purchase from me if there was a FC660 version 2 or something.

It is the new version of their FC700R, thus the 750. A new 660 would be cool, although it's pretty solid already as it is.

Ahh, that makes sense. Since I can from experience compare Singapore and Japan to the USA, I'd say there are more mech users in Asia, but it's not like hugely popular or anything.

Well I don't have hands on experience, but people tend to say that the 660's keycaps get shiny after a while. Almost like if the coating on them comes off or something? I'm interested to see if there's any fix to that on the newer 750 keycaps. The fact that they're thicker and hopefully cherry height(?) is more than enough for me to buy a 660v2.

The 660 keycaps are PBT, so they don't shine after a long time, but the printing can fade a bit. I personally like them, but I see people note them as a disadvantage, so who knows. I've had mine for almost 3 months now and no fading or staining so far. Caps aside though, it's one of the most solid builds I've had my hands on and the layout is really nice if you use arrow keys a lot. The 750 caps look really good, I can't tell from the picture but they might be OEM profile, but if they're Cherry that's a plus for me.
