Any information on Preh POS keyboards?
« on: Fri, 28 February 2014, 10:06:34 »
Here's one at what seems to be a decent price.

PrehKeyTec MCI 96 (Keys) POS Programmable keyboard with magnetic stripe readhttp://www.ebay.com/itm/321335405772?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l26

What I've heard is that they are rubber domes (but they claim 30million keypresses). I'm mainly interested in finding something:
1) easy to program for 64bit windows7
OR
2) can be adapted to teensy

3) Cherry MX switches or at least a non-yucky non-wet newspaper feel.

Most of the modding can be done on your own once you break through the psychological barriers.

Preh is rubber dome every time from the research I've done.  I wish they had Cherry MX since that would mean I could find some affordable boards to make switch tries out of.

Because of this I have removed preh from my KB searches.
