Zowie EC1 eVo CL/FK: acceptably good, can get a tiny tiny bit slippery with dry hands, 7/10
Zowie EC1 eVo (black): not so good. Feels a little.. powdery. Too slippery. 3/10
Razer Deathadder 2013: plasticky POS. 2/10
Logitech G400: Feels normal and just right, good quality without needing to try too hard.. 8/10
Love that, Razer DA2013: plasticky POS 2/10, you still are being too generous with them .
Of course the G400 is Logitech's cheapest optical mouse and it's stood the test of time. I am liking the G400S a little more each day as it shows me why Logitech can make decent input devices if they put a little effort into it .
So where does your Mionix factor into this?
I forgot to contribute:
I'm going to use a scale system from 1-5.
1 is garbage.
3 being a typical Logitech office mouse.
5 is great surface.
I've at least used these devices for more than a hour while I was actually doing something:
Logitech G9X - 3. Could easily be a 4 if Logitech actually tweaked some stuff.
Logitech G400 - 3 Could easily be a 4 if Logitech wasn't either so stuck up or 5 if Logitech wasn't (what I assume to be) bureaucratically mismanaged.
SteelSeries Sensei - 1. Frying pan coated cheapness. It looks so cheap even a god of misfortune/poverty wouldn't go near it.
SteelSeries Rival - 2. Dear lord, why did they think dark rubber could hide smudge marks. Looks like **** after it absorbs oil, grease from your skin.
Razer Diamondback - 2. Cheap Rubber. Smudges. Cheap cheap cheap
Razer Deathadder - 2 Cheap Rubber. Smudges. Cheap cheap cheap. Looks like **** after it absorbs oil, grease from your skin.
Razer Imperator - 3
Zowie EC EVO CL - 3. Rubber top discolors, Plastic sides feel cheap. Color concept is nice but it's not actually that pleasing when you actually see the mouse. I'd bump this up if it didn't scream cheapppp.
TT Esports M10 - Materials - 4. Visual appeal - 1. This mouse actually has a decent quality surface and body. It just looks like a kid's toy with those stupid side buttons.
Gigabyte Aivia Krypton - 3. I like what they tried to do with this mouse but it uses cheap plastic and cheap rubber.
I'm probably forgetting some devices.
Overall I'd rate the major companies like this
Logitech > Zowie ≥ Razer > Steelseries
I think Zowie only has a slight lead above Razer because the mouse's underside is surprisingly good looking.
