Having issues with my new Corsair Vengeance K70

Recently I have bought a K70, and I am having some very weird issues with it. The issues are actually affecting my entire PC; ever since I got it my computer has been prone to freezing randomly up to the point that I have to force a shutdown (this happens daily, sometimes even multiple times in very short succession), and when I reboot a lot of the times my PC won't even turn on properly and I have to do it several times before it finally starts. Note that the crashes are COMPLETELY random, and they have even happened a few times while BOOTING my PC.

I am 99,9% sure that it is because of my new keyboard, since it started a few days after I had gotten it, and as a test I deleted the driver the keyboard automatically installed and plugged in my old one again - no issue so far. Has anyone had any troubles with keyboards, or hardware in general causing these kind of malfunctions within PC's, and have they found a solution to it? I absolutely love the keyboard but it's no point in having it when my PC is unusable. Thanks in advance.

And as a sidenote - the mouse that I am using is a Razer Ouroboros. I've read a bit on the internet about it and it may be some kind of driver conflict? I've seen several other people complain about this very problem but none of them really had any conclusive ways on how to fix it, I was hoping there is someone around now that can help me.

I'd recommend trying another USB port. Specifically, one directly on your motherboard.

You could also try to hook up the Vengeance to another PC and see what happens.

Last I checked there are no drivers for the K70 on corsairs website.

Some of the keys just died on my model F XT. I don't know why. 

Am hoping that restarting will bring things back to normal. But yeah, I'm just saying, I sympathize with you!

Well, the driver that I have toyed with is the one that windows itself downloads when you plug in a keyboard, but what I meant was that I  updated my firmware to the newest version (1.09)

Also I've tried pretty much every USB my PC has to offer, including the ones that are directly in the motherboard.
I sadly don't have another PC to test it on.

It's still happening, i really have no clue what to do.

It could be some sort of incompatibility due to the method that these keyboards use to have a Key Roll-Over value above 6 (on K70's case 20KRO) and that's actually known to cause incompatibilities with certain motherboards or Operational Systems (reason why some keyboards have a switch where you can change them between 6KRO and NKRO). The fact that it happens while booting the PC could be an indicator of that.

But sure, it can also be a problem on your PC's USBs, reason why maybe swapping them or using another USB type (non-Intel USB 3.0 controllers are known for causing incompatibilities with certain USB Peripherals such as headphones, joysticks, mice and other stuff) can solve the problem, so, if you plugged it into a USB 3.0, try the USB 2.0.

Or the damn thing can just be having problems. Corsair has a bad reputation from having K60 and K90 keyboards dying due to a firmware full of bugs, causing the keyboards to repeat keys randomly on non-faulty Cherry MX keys or just not turning on at all after some time. It wouldn't be a big surprise

Thankyou for the information, I've had it plugged into both 2.0 and 3.0 USB controllers, and it doesn't seem to matter, both cause my entire PC to freeze and force me to shut it down manually.

The first line about incompatibilities sounds a bit more promising though - seeing as like I said it even crashes when I enter the BIOS and windows is trying to start up.. is there any way around this issue? Or do I just have to really get a new keyboard?

For reasons mentioned above (KRO issues) I would try updating your BIOS, just for the hell of it.

As an update I updated my Chipset driver (or at least I think so? it still says that I have the old version installed on my Device Manager tab) and 'Intel Management Engine Driver', and that hasn't solved the problem.

I would update the BIOS (I have 11.0, newest version seems to be 11.2), but I'm not really experienced with it and I would not want to risk it

It wouldn't be a big surprise 

This board has NKRO and a bios switch.
OP trying getting an older version of the firmware. Or update your bios.
