Greeting from Lisbon, Portugal!
My name is José and im a recent lurker in this amazing forum.
What brought me here was the recent discovery that my father had kept my very first keyboard in the basement for arround 20 years.
Talking about bulky IBM Model M from 1990. I was so glad just to see it, brought back so many good memories!! (My dad looked at me like if I was an alien:])
Was looking for a mech keyboard for some time now, but never felt like spending the big bucks would be worth it until i found info about the Model M and it strucked me, "Fdx I played in one of these!!!"
Now it seems my search is over and quality wise im future proof

or should i say ancient proof!
Anyway enough talking, heres some pics taken while cleaning this old beast:

Now im enjoying it and trying to gain balls to maybe paint it.
Case mate black and dye the keys in yeallow...
Problem is... this is my baby, ive used it literaly trough my chilldwood, would be bad ass to preserve it has it is and pass it to my children in some years!
Ill try and find some more old school ibm model m´s arround my country and maybe try and paint them, i really like the tutorials and the look on the dyed reds, yeallows and blues!!
