Hello from NC

Hello I'm new here as well as mechanical keyboards. I've been looking to get one for about six months now and since I have never owned one I was interested in the features and build quality of CM Storm for the $100+- price tag. I was very close to getting a TK but was excited to hear about new products coming in April so I'm going to wait till then. I hear the Rapid is a great keyboard so I'm interested in the Rapid I. I'm also interested in feeling the differences between the Blues and Browns switches as I love feedback and don't need to be quite while typing. I've grown up loving Logitech (forgive me?) and slowly becoming a CM fan (love my hafx 942) Any suggestions are welcome as I love custom setups and was really impressed with all the custom CM boards, especially Photoelectric's (shoutout?)
Thanks for having me.

A little late, but just want to say you welcome to GH. I do not know the quality of CM Storm, I suggest you to look for a review on it. I found many, just go to the review section and make a search on it. I found
this
one, but I ain't sure if it is the model you are looking for.

TY, believe me I've been looking at reviews and watching videos on keyboards to make my eyes numb. I'm looking to dive right into the mechanical keyboard world and I heard this was this perfect place to get all kinds of info. I'm going to look into the Rapid I before I make a decision. I've also considered getting a Ducky or Filco, etc. Still browsing but hopefully all my purchases will last a lifetime as a take good care of my things. (My keyboard and monitor now still have the plastic on them and they are 2 years old....O.o)

I am pretty sure there should be a place or two at your city that carries it in stock, so you can test it in person.

I will look into that. Actually I'm not sure if the place I love could be called a "city" lol Town in closer....Village...It would be great to find a spot. Maybe I'm going to all the wrong places but I have never seen a mechanical keyboard in an actual storefront.

I do not know why, I thought you were living in a large city. Maybe I assumed NC = NYC, lol. My bad sorry.

I've noticed Best Buy sells them on their site but never saw anything in store. Maybe I'll do some digging there...But never would buy it from them for sure. Considering the price vs quality I'll probably get a CM board, but the talk of the quality of brands like Ducky and Filco have got my intrigued
Considering I'm using a G510 I'm sure anything I get will be a nicer feel. TKL is what I'm getting however the CM TK is only 1 inch longer so that's still an option.

I am using a Leopold and its quality is second to none. Even the original PBT caps are nice, but I do not like them to be pad printed, so I am using original ABS DS cherries. Waiting for the DSA PBT to be done, that set will rock.
