I've sold a lot of my gear already, but have held on to these Realforces and SSK that were very dear to me. But it's time to let them go.

All-30g 87U silenced - $500 $450 $400 $300 + shipping  [SOLD]
- Originally a 87USW silenced from elitekeyboards, single owner
- Variable weighted domes replaced with all-30g from a 108UDK imported from Japan
- White case swapped for black case
- Plate painted from bare metal to matte black
- Detachable usb modded (QFR or smaller sized usb connector required)
- It's been a daily driver at work for me, some shine on the space bar, but barely noticeable

All-45g 89U-10AE JIS non-silenced - $250 [WITHDRAWN]
- Originally a 89U all-30g silenced from Amazon.jp
- 30g domes swapped for 45g domes
- Silent switches swapped for normal switches
- Hard wire modded to be more like ANSI, details: http://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=44796.0
- PS2 cord removed and Teensy modded for detachable usb (QFR or smaller sized usb connector required): http://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=45978.0
- Rarely used, no shine

Mostly-45g 86U - $200 $150 $130 $125 [SOLD]
- Originally variable weighted, lighter domes have been moved to function row and lower left modifier keys
- Hangul (Korean) legends in addition to QWERTY legends
- I bought it used, some shine on the space bar
- No original box

Bolt modded SSK - $200 [SOLD]
- Also Teensy modded for detachable usb
- Barely any keycap shine. Some sticker residue on the left side of case, otherwise perfect condition. Very snappy BS action.

Updated all the Realforce prices. ($50 off each)

I originally listed all the boards at my cost after modding, but it seems like RF prices have dropped since then, and SSK has gone up. So sweet deal for the person getting the SSK. Not so great timing for me selling my Realforces...haha

I'm curious, just how extreme is your leaving the keyboard game? Back to $5 domes?

It's pretty close to quitting cold turkey, that's for sure!

Well, modified to vintage black stems for Topre-like smoothness :)

sheet... I was gonna try to hit you up soon for potential hot-rodding on some of my boards after seeing all the great stuff you did to these.  Can't quit the game if the game doesn't quit you!

Ah, okay. You've settled on one thing and are done now. That's like why I just sorta stopped posting here for 2+ years, and not much else was practical at the time.

I decided to hold on to the JIS board. But I'm considering selling the blue/gray key caps if anyone is interested.

May I ask how worn is the 86u? I.e. how long you've had it, and do you know how long the previous owner had it?

Thanks.

$130 is a great price for Topre, even if it's old. Knowing khaangaarroo it's probably in solid condition, but since it's an 86U, it's going to be old by nature.

I'm real curious, how did you pick up that 86U with Hangul legends? I'm quite interested in where I could locate one.

Huh, interesting. I haven't been able to locate any other images besides the ones you've supplied! Pretty freaking cool imo

agreed! that's part of the reason why I held on to it, the uniqueness. I hope the person getting it feels the same. I sold it for cheap, not because I don't value it, but because I like to pass along good deals on GH when I can :)

You said you're leaving the keyboard game - which keyboard are you ending up keeping?

You said you're leaving the keyboard game - which keyboard are you ending up keeping?

Quite a few actually: a QFR vintage reds with Red Alert keys, a QFR vintage blacks with Ragnarok keys, and the JIS Realforce above but with gray/white keys with Japanese legends.
But they're each at a different computer, so it's not like I can go any fewer than three keyboards I'll be keeping.

I don't count those as usable keyboards :)
