Potentially cheap Cherry White on Black doubleshots
« on: Sun, 16 March 2014, 13:16:59 »
Auction, but it's at $10.50 shipped right now.  It might be nice to let someone who really needs/wants a set claim it and not drive up the bidding on it.

Look at the article number in the picture before you say anything.

Yea didn't notice that until I looked at the pics. Why would the seller list the wrong number? Ebay sellers....

Yup.  There's also the legless G and the closer together ^6 too.  So going off the article number and the looks of the caps, they're doubleshots.

And price is going to end absurdly high because of the 1.5x OG Cherry doubleshot mods I feel like.

It's an MY board, so they may be off centered, so I kind of doubt the obscenely high ending price.  Then again, the price has tripled since I posted this.

They're not - I had a similar model a while ago.  1.5x mods aren't off center like 1.25x mods in MY boards.

Yeah. MY 1.5x keys are centre stemmed, so they work fine on MX boards. ebacho, how were the other modifiers on your board? Regular mx stabilisers, or some funky my ones?

The 3 G81-1800's I've had were all normal MX mounts.  It's the POS G81's and newer boards that have the weird stabs, at least in my experience.

Dammit you found it. That $10.50 bid was me. Yes, I noticed the pictures did not match the description. And these would go beautifully on my new leeku PCB. Thought I was gonna sneak by with one

I found it too haha - will probably end up passing on it though if it ends up at the price I think it'll go for.

I had had it on my watch list for some time.  I just posted it here though.  Sorry man, if I had known, it would have stayed hushed.

In other news, it looks like I may be getting an MCK-142Pro for $14.12 shipped thanks to not labeling it well on eBay.

Oh it's all good. Somebody would have found it anyway. I actually found it a few days ago and went ahead and put in my max bid then, so I am going to try to resist to up my bid.

Lol, I almost PMed you to let you know I was bidding on it before you could spread the word. But I decided that wouldn't be very fair. :)

I actually figured Ivan would find it.

I wouldn't have had an issue with that.  If someone like you really needs something for a keyboard, I'm more than willing to keep it quiet.

If you're looking for alphas that's ok, but I won't get an MY board just to get the DS. Not having the right modifiers is too much of a PITA.
Most of the modding can be done on your own once you break through the psychological barriers.

On the contrary, 1.5x OG Cherry mods are quite rare (or, at the very least, not common).  Those with 1.5x boards will probably bid these up.

Are they center stemmed or off center like the other MY bottom row mods?

That was post #9 out of 18, and I was offline when that was posted. Nobody quoted that post until now so I didn't get a chance to read it until now -.-

who finally outbid me!?

edit: it appears from looking at bid history that whoever it is actually bid on this before I did back on 3/12, so I don't think it is anyone in this thread.... or is it??

it was me

I found out about it when it was first posted but only planned to bid up to $20 when I assumed it was lasered POM

but $52 is the most I would pay for them so if you really want it, bid $53, and I won't bid again

it sold for $67.00, congrats to the winner if you are reading this. It got too rich for me.

Also, if whoever won reads this and you are only after the key caps, PM me if you are interested in selling the rest of the keyboard. I am particularly interested in the case and the cable but would take it all if you just want to take the caps.

$67 really isn't too bad for a NIB 1800HBAUS. I've seen people pay more for used ones in the past. NIB white/black sets with 1.5 don't come up too often and it's especially a good deal for an 1800 owner to do a refurb. I picked up one a few months back for $50 with the intention of putting my leeku 1800 in it.
If it really did turn out to be a LUMUS with wrong photos then I would feel sorry for whoever it is that got it.

potentially cheap turns into non-cheap after something is posted here

that's why nowadays when I come across something on ebay and remember that there's a geekhacker who was talking about needing said item, I PM him the link quietly.  :thumb:

posting here means that it attracts the attention of people who weren't that desperate to find, and they all join the bidding resulting in prices going up for the people who actually need the things most.  :(
