Mechanical gaming keypad besides Orbweaver?
« on: Wed, 02 April 2014, 00:07:40 »
Are there any fully mechanical alternatives (noting partially mechanicals would be appreciated too) to an Orbweaver? I don't like the legends to them that much (and I doubt there are any replacement keycaps that would fit the thing), and seeing some alternatives to one would be nice for price comparisons.

You could consider a self-built project-- half an Ergodox, or a Qazpad.

I never thought about using an ergodox as a gaming keypad... that would actually probably work out well.

But what I'm more interested in is the ergonomic form factor of the Orbweaver and similar curved keypads.
