Decent Model M on ebay

This looks to be a good specimen, and at a good price these days:

They took your chance at a good education. They stole your opportunities. Billionaires took the things you want in life. If you really want those things, you have to take them back.
That's the message. That's the whole message. Say that every day, not just to reach America's frustrated young white men, but people of every age, race, and gender.

$65 shipped is a good price these days? Aren’t there fairly regularly ones selling for $20-30 cheaper than that?

I haven't bought an M in at least a year, but I got the impression that good ones have been selling in the $50-70 range + shipping.

This looks to be a clean, tested, complete early 1391401 model with heavy plate and PS/2 cable at the very low end of that range.

When 52Gs and 92Gs are selling at similar price points, this one is far more desirable, in my opinion.

If they're really going that high, then why not just unicomp instead?

For the same price, I would choose a new Unicomp with native USB and warranty over any post-1988 IBM/Lexmark M, and probably over an early M, unless it was complete and in excellent condition. (However, I am fond of the 1390131 with the metal badge.)
