Genius Blue LED Illuminated Backlit Mechanical Laptop PC Gaming Keyboard 104 Key
Key Switch: CHERRY Blue
Switch life: 10 Million Times

This is suspicious at best. Tt are at least honest about their use of fake MX (Kailh).

That being said, I'd avoid any of that crap.

Ya neither are really good.  There are better choices out there.

If you can tell us about what you look for in a keyboard also your budget and location then we can help you better.

Though so far based on your choices I'm going to guess that you want a MX Blue backlit minimalist looking full size keyboard am I correct?

In that case I'd probably recommend Ducky or Max Keyboard.

What do you mean by fake MX ?? (its says switch type Cherry blue)
and yeah I'm after a blue or the ever illusive green switches backlit mechanical 104 key keyboard.
PS I really like how the keys are risen (not inlayed into the keyboard).

Maybe the ad says that. But there are pictures of the keyboard that show the switches...

Hint: look at what it says on the switch housing.
Hint #2: it ain't "Cherry."

Also, p.s., if you like backlighting, you might be a bit disappointed in the Genius. Only 8 keys (WASD and the arrows) are backlit. The others just have shiny letters-- no LED, just colored to look like it's lit up.

So "fake MX" is just a term used to describe non cherry MX switches ??.
What do you guys think about this then, I wish it had the rased up keys like the Genius/

It quite clearly states that they are cherry switches, it even provides a animation of the switch with a large cherry logo on.

Cherry's patent on MX switches expired earlier this year so there are now clones available.  Some companies call the clones "certified mechanical switches," so I'd be wary of a keyboard that does not specifically say "Cherry MX" if you are looking for such.  The brown version of Thermaltake's Poseidon keyboard has Cherry switches while the blues are certified non-Cherry switches.  I have the Poseidon with browns and I really like it.  I got it for the backlighting mainly, as I already have two other non-backlit boards with browns.  No complaints except perhaps for a slightly louder ping noise than my other boards when bottoming out/switch release.  Fn media shortcuts and adjustable backlighting are pluses otherwise it is standard-issue.

Thanks but I am not interested in anything but Blue or Green, as for the switches used on the Genius they are the same as used in the Razor Black Widow Ultimate, I think now there is a lot of people saying these aren't as good and so forth which is understandable with any clone or replica that's new to the market.
