Lurker type, some on here will know me
« on: Mon, 28 April 2014, 16:50:33 »
Hello everyone, I'm Nick and I've popped in here to lurk a number of times, but never got round to registering an account until today.

There will be a handful of folks in here who recognise me from my other main forum, but I'll try to get involved as much as I can whenever I swing by here too.

For an internet cookie, identify this keyboard without cheating:

I might soon add something interesting to here...

Damn sexy board, Shirty! Admittedly I had to cheat as I wanted to check the other images of it, the combination works so nicely :D. Also fond of bit-tech, their forums have a great modding community  :thumb:.

Thanks! She's my first proper modding board and an absolute pleasure to work with, but I think I'm up to 19 mechs in total since the bug bit at the start of 2012!

I only tend to keep 2 or 3 at a time though, I like to use my mechs rather than collect them.

Oh, and I'm not overly fond of Topre, I like my keyboards mechanical  :))

Without cheating, I'd say it looks like a modded G80-8113. Is that close?

The name of that board is on the tip of my tongue but I can't quite remember it.

Keycaps are from your G80-8937LSDGB that's on ebay ;)

It's not close, although they are PBT G80 caps as Photekq has identified. Clue: it is a modern German keyboard, and the macro keys along the top are hardware rather than software driven.

Spot on on the keycaps  :)

Have you come across the keyboard elsewhere or do you just recognise the shape/layout?

Hey Jacco, nice to be here.

This is the man who made me buy my FC660M - once I'd been inside yours I knew it was only a matter of time :p

I've seen the board before - not yours, but someone elses. I'd recognise that weird ass layout any day, but I just can't remember the name.. What's the name of the board? ;D
