My YouTube Channel (Looking for Feedback)
« on: Fri, 09 May 2014, 19:02:28 »
Hey, I have become active on Geekhack again. Not really sure why I wasn't for a bit. I guess you get comfortable with a new board and think everything is cool until the need for a new one starts to creep up on you.

It actually brought me back here, but I am certain it is for good as I always loved this place beyond shopping for a board. In reality, RL stuff got in the way.

However, I have a gaming channel if anyone ever wants to check it out. I am not hungry for views and I hardly, if ever, promote for it. It just made me think of this place because my YT image is a closeup of my keyboard this website brought me to purchase which met my expectations thanks to the members here.

Anyway, the channel is YouTube.com/OffTheBrinkTV

I am always looking for feedback so if you have any or some tips, feel free to post 'em. Hell, if you just want to chat about gaming, or anything for that matter, that's cool too. (Hopefully that didn't sound like I am too desperate for internet friends)

Subbed to ya bro :) Really liked the videos, felt like you've put some thought into them.

Only watched a bit of two videos so far.. but from what I've seen I really haven't got anything to pick on!

Thanks man, really appreciate it.

I'm going to start putting up some more content. I'm trying to find a niche at the moment. Something I can say I do on a regular bases if that makes sense. I don't want my channel to feel as random as it does.

Yeah, I get what you're saying. As long as it is something you enjoy playing/doing, you should be good :thumb:
Obviously something that most others dont do would be a plus, but I guess you already know all of this!

Yeah. The tough part is thinking about what I can do that is different than other people, while enjoying it at the same time. However, I'll probably just keep doing what I am doing and let all that stuff fall into place.

Seems to me like you've got the right mindset at least :D

I really like your channel! Do you plan on doing any more WoW videos once Warlords of Draenor goes live?

Yeah, I plan on getting back into it a bit. However, I'll likely mostly PVP this time.

Raiding was fun and I was in a top 25 guild but after a while, the whole having to be on certain times 3-4 days a week started getting to me. I don't believe in playing a game when you stop having fun you know? It started to feel like a chore. I was really good too. Not to flex epeen too much (I DO miss some aspects), I ranked #1 on quite a few fights as a Rogue.

With that said, I plan on supporting my UI which is a big reason I'm going back. I still get PMs about it on WoWInterface now and again after not supporting it for over a year. I would get a lot of downloads and it was starting to get really popular. More importantly, it was getting me viewers on YouTube.

TLDR; yes, I plan on coming back in WOD lol.

That's awesome man, I've had that feeling too that raiding has felt like a chore.  I sort of peaked around cataclysm, then my guild had all sorts of drama, which eventually led to multiple members transferring  servers.  I actually just reactivated my account, I'm leveling a warlock right now and think i'll use my character boost on him with my pre-order of the expansion.  I subbed to your channel and really look forward to more videos from you!

Cool man I really appreciate it. Maybe when I get back on we can do some PVP or instances together.
