What is your defining characteristic?
« on: Mon, 12 May 2014, 05:17:54 »
If someone met you for the first time and talked to you for only 5 minutes, what would be the most obvious characteristic someone would remember you by? It could be physical, or a personality trait, whatever.

Examples: soft-spoken, face-tattoo, was drunk, moustachioed, black, socially uncomfortable, really fat, great sense of style, boobs

(...)Whereas back then I wrote about the tyranny of the majority, today I'd combine that with the tyranny of the minorities. These days, you have to be careful of both. They both want to control you. The first group, by making you do the same thing over and over again. The second group is indicated by the letters I get from the Vassar girls who want me to put more women's lib in The Martian Chronicles, or from blacks who want more black people in Dandelion Wine.
I say to both bunches, Whether you're a majority or minority, bug off! To hell with anybody who wants to tell me what to write. Their society breaks down into subsections of minorities who then, in effect, burn books by banning them. All this political correctness that's rampant on campuses is b.s.

Numerous people that know me for extended time told me the progress was kinda like this:
At first they thought I am reticent/distant/odd (I don't talk much to people I don't know)
After some days or weeks it changed to "humorous but kinda arrogant"
After longer time they realized I'm helpful and astute, but childish

Depends, does blood count as "shine?" Or "lube," perhaps?

Plus, there's the rarity principle.

Also: idea for IC: "hit'n'run" or "weapon" custom caps.

Pretty sure it decreases the value. The good news is that my blood will lube up those hard-to-press buckling springs :D

With my friends in the army, I was kind of a geek amongst "less intelligent" guys. Also I have a large penis.

Which was funny at the wedding of one of my friends at the weekend with the conversation coming back to it every five minutes =/
Can we get them to build the Alps ten feet higher and get Cherry to pay for it?

If you're asking me, I'd say my sense of humor.
If you were to ask most others who know me, they would likely say my size and skin tone.
If today had been a hippo, then you'd really have to worry about tomorrow.
