Greetings to everyone.
« on: Tue, 13 May 2014, 10:38:03 »
I've just registered to be a member here. The posts in this forum are interesting to read, and it'll be easier since I'm a member now.

My first mechanical keyboard is Cherry G80-3800 (Blue).  It was very affordable and I still quite like it. The low profile keycaps are rather special too.  Interestingly, those blue switches on that Cherry are a little bit lighter than the other blue switches on my other two keyboards.

The second one is KBTalking Race II (Blue switch).  I love it since it is programmable and it's small in size. I don't care too much about the backlighting though.

MY third one is Filco MJ2 Ninja (blue switch again).  Wonderful board to type on.Not much to say really.

My typing speed is still rather slow. 55-75 wpm I would say. I need more practice perhaps.

Today, I've welcome my fourth mechanical keyboard into my collection. The Corsair K65 (Red Cherry MX, of course). despite the pad printing on the keycaps, it still look decent to me.  I am a typist who never games. The Red switch is still a good option for me since now I realise how smooth and pleasant the red feel like.  I tried the browns before at the shop and I didn't like it too much, as the browns made my fingers feel too "busy". Too much information, I would say.

I wonder how long those pad printing will last after my frequent, repeated use.  It would be nicer if the pad printing were on the front side, not on the top.

I don't mind having shiny keycaps. Looking at the shine give me a sense of achievement. "Look what have a done"!

Oh, I have forgotten to mention that my Race II is a little modified.  After learning from the Leopold FC750R, I added a piece of felt under the PCB on my Race II, just to dampen the clacks when I bottom out the switches.
