I wont sit here and read a keyboard dramatically overpriced without informing people. I'm sorry. I do have a bit of honor, and I wont see a fellow geekhacker who is less informed overpay to such a degree.
Call me old fashioned, but when something is re-sold in the classifieds, I assume its to either help out the seller, or a mutual exchange between two informed parties. If you want to list something 75-100 dollars over priced, I will provide a location where someone can purchase it for cheaper (Retail only). This is in the rules, and It is within my right to do so. At this time, your keyboard can be purchased brand new in a country where tax is 50% (Which is silly) and still be shipped internationally and you will still get it cheaper.
I believe that I may have been rude in suggesting a price, but I don't believe I was rude in helping out the community.
Good luck with your sale.
You are incorrect. That is actually against the rules.
I simply posted what I valued the keyboard at after searching what they are being actively and successfully sold for.
Nevertheless, I edited the OP to reflect a more reasonable price.
I still feel people should be focused more on the items if they are interested in them. There is clearly nothing dishonest about any of my listings, so I do not feel criticism is necessary.
All prices are negotiable within reason. I am simply trying to sell these items. Not make a profit. I did not want to under list or undervalue a keyboard. Especially if it was difficult to obtain and especially if I
just listed the item. If things don't sell, they will naturally come down in price.
There is no reason why people should be able to sell novelty keys 3x-4x their value, but my thread gets posts with uninterested frustrated people because I listed an item for what it sells on EBay...
If you thought the item was unfairly priced, you are more than welcome to politely critique it. Publicly sabotaging a
classfield thread over a false sense of nobility over someone not being dishonest isn't helping the community because I am part of this community just as much as you are. Also, this is my thread and it is equally unfair for you to take money from me. What if there was someone willing to pay $225 knowing well enough what it is worth because they did not want to wait for it to be in stock or take the chance that it might never be?
Also, just so people know I wasn't trying to be dishonest. Here is the listing I got my price from:
