Hello geekhack!

Hello geekhack community

I am done lurking, time to start participating.

I am in the market for my first mechanical keyboard, probably my first tenkeyless or a 60%. I clearly remember my dad's old IBM Model M keyboards, however he doesn't have them anymore. The interest, I have to admit, is driven by some nostalgia.
I am still assimilating the abundance of information about mechanical keyboards (and keyboard layouts), clearly a decision will still take some time. I have already decided to have blank keys, as I am still researching the best layout (as a Belgian who has to type Dutch and program in English, I am not comfortable with Azerty).
I like the look of the HHKB or the WASD keyboards or any other minimal looking keyboards.

Thanks, although I like the look of the HHKB Pro 2, I am not feeling ready yet to spend over $250 for a keyboard.
I am currently thinking about purchasing a KBT Pure Pro, which seems to get enough credit and comes at a price I am willing to spend on my first mechanical keyboard.

Hello Gerald!

I don't know who Gerald is, but hello to you too
