IBM (Model M2?) 1395706
« on: Wed, 21 May 2014, 11:12:59 »
I got this lovely keyboard for free recently... I opened it up (and panicked as all the springs flew out), cleaned it and now it's working very nicely.

I was wondering why there weren't any similar IBM keyboards on the internet until I came upon the Model M2 earlier today - this keyboard seems identical to the M2 except for the fact that it has a PS/2 connector...
does anyone else have this keyboard?

The 1395706 is a UK layout ISO buckling spring IBM Selectric Touch keyboard (Model M2). I think that covers it. <g>

There are likely more M2's with the PS/2 connector than without.  Either way, a PS/2 connector M2 is not uncommon.  Think there's a few on ebay right now.
