^^ this, MOQ for that was near impossible due to costs and interest, everyone wants to say they want something but they won't speak with their wallets

I wish I had the spare $10'000 to sink into this to get made by GMK but my Mrs would kill me in places I will never use again in my lifetime.

She doesn't mind a grand here or there but when it comes to thousands for just one key-set, then there is no way to stay alive after she finds out and she always will.  Women seem more sensitive to extravagant purchases then anyone else so unless there is a very 'brilliant' excuse to cover a huge dent in my bank account for a couple of weeks, then it's off the table  .

How different oem spacebar and gmk? I would to use my silver aluminium spacebar with this set, is it compatible?

OEM spacebar is about 2mm taller than Cherry spacebar. If you don't mind the difference it's fine. OEM will be about level with the tops of the letters in the above row. I have used such arrangement in the past and it wasn't an issue since spacebar is a pretty unique key anyway.

Someone talk me into this. After the orders closed on the 1st I was kind of kicking myself for not ordering a set. Now that I have a small window for a second chance I'm really trying to talk myself into a base + color set, but having a hard time justifying $150 for ABS keys. I haven't liked *any* of the ABS keys I've typed on since using PBT. Are GMK keys really that different from other ABS keys??

These GMK keysets are the only keysets that will be released in the next few years with real Cherry molds. These are the molds cherry created to perfectly fit Cherry keycaps. They are made using the same molds all of the most collectible keysets are made from (original Dolch, any Cherry keyboard EVER with double shots). There is a reason they are so collectible and have made Cherry MX switches so famous. SignaturePlastics, TaiHao, and EVEN Cherry can't and won't make keycaps using molds that CHERRY developed. They can't because there is a patent on the molds. Any other manufacturer will only be able to guess for their key tooling equipment. Cherry actually knows the numbers and tolerances perfectly because they spent years developing their keyboard. Go back and read the first few pages of this post, you will be convinced.

Try to win me over by telling me why this set is so special and so good:) I don't quite know the difference between this set and the standard ABS Doubleshots.
And yes, i know he's doing us all a favor, this set seems to be very popular. Great job with launching this GB!

1) Aesthetics.
2) It's s accurate of a replica as it can get of one of the most popular sets around due to point 1 above.
3) Doubleshot and thick abs. Made by the same equipment used to make the original. It might as well be the original already except this is a group buy.
4) Everything you hear about thick keycaps apply to them, even if they're abs. They're still thick and of very good quality.

5) This groupbuy took a long time to come. And it will probably not come again for a very long time. If along the way in your keyboard journey, you start to realise why these caps were so sought after, I'd rather you be glad you got them, rather than regret that you had the chance and have to wade through tons of classified threads to find these again lol.
6) If for some reason you don't like these, you can always sell them off again rather easily. I'm pretty sure there will be people who have missed this and are looking for a chance to get hold of one from another member. Or if they joined after this gb ended and only realised why they were so good after the gb ended and were unable to get one.
7) Based on those reasons above, you don't really have a reason not to get one, unless it's cause of finanicial issues. Friend's birthday? Get a dolch. your birthday? Get a dolch. Lamp died? Get a dolch. Thermostat too cold? Get a dolch.

We have never reached 400 for a full set.  We reached it for the purple mods and CMYK because many people boughts multiple sets (myself included), due to the more reasonable price.  That's why in the past we've only had partial sets from GMK, AFAIK.

Must say they put the Filco keycaps to shame, which I'm sure is no surprise to anyone except me. Now I just need to fill the rest of my board with this goodness.
