I didn't have a Dolch set but don't have a keyboard to put it on but bought it anyway and will move one of my Granite sets/Penumbra to try it out.

the problem is that I love this set so much that I wanted a backup set for when I wear this one out.

Just hazarding a guess, but Germany basically shuts down in August due to vacation, so might be a few more weeks.

This was discussed before. Most companies will make sure at least some of their staff coordinate / rotate their holidays a bit, so there's always someone in the office. Businesses do not shut down during the holiday time, unless they're really small or the division you're dealing with is really small.
