Filco in the US
« on: Tue, 03 June 2014, 15:31:14 »
Recently joined the club with a K70... looking at buying a new one and am set on filco.  However, checking Amazon, the only US retailer I have found, they have limited stock.  Are there other places that i havent found to purchase one?  Personally, I'm looking for the ninja tkl with mx blues.  The one sold on amazon is >$200 so I don't think that's a reasonable price as the one on NCIX Canada is $137.43 usd.

Your best bet is to get one from NCIX's Canadian site. The shipping is not too bad.

NCIX US also has a few options if you want to check that out.

I honestly wouldn't use NCIX US, unless they've changed.

Check out the /r/mechmarket on reddit, the classifieds here, and ebay for sure. I was able to snag a MJ2 TKL for about $110 shipped.

The Keyboard Company UK Amazon store.  The ones that say Sold by Keyboard Co UK and Fulfilled by Amazon.  Not a lot in stock typically, but if there is something they have you want it's probably going to be the best deal for US.

Yeah, I don't think I've heard too much bad about their US site.  I could be wrong, though; and I haven't used it personally.

My only experience with NCIX is buying a SSD. Which went fine, normal as expected.

Just say NO to ABS keycaps

Agreed.  My one try at using them was horrible.

My one order was also bad.  Website glitches, super slow to ship, unprofessional salespeople, etc. Overall pretty sour.

a lot of people disagree but I say avoid filco: to much pinging. in my mind they are keyboards: they ring so much I classify them as instruments. and it's a damn shame because they really do have great build quality (the pinging problem aside).

Cheers,
