Considering that a HHKB Pro went for Euro 80.- some months ago, this looks like an opportunity. Currently at Euro 9.50.

Seller ships worldwide.

That's not too bad considering the item.  It's still too much for a keyboard, IMO.

Ripster,

Those clear model M keycaps under which labels and such can be positioned and remapping software make it quite simple to create a Photoshop-specific 'board.  I can't see folks spending for those, but OK, whatever.

Agreed about the Optimus.  To me, that thing's a useless gimmick.  It's easy enough to re-map any 'board you'd like to do what you want--why spend that much money?  However, for those who're able and want to do so, hey, more power to you.

Cheers,

The label says, "World\'s best... guaranteed."

What would happen if I bought one and sent them a nasty letter that read:

"1391401.  I want my money back."

I think the functionality is valid, especially if you need to do some drastic remapping of the keyboard.  I do think, however, that the functionality was designed more as "art" than being designed for usefulness.  I am sure a company could make a similar device with a focus on function for much less.

If your remapping needs are that dramatic, wouldn't you also be looking into layout adjustments or auxilliary keypads instead?

You could, but why not have an all-in-one device and reduce clutter, and potentially, expense (if someone made a more reasonably priced device).
