Kombining parts from the Poker II and Poker X.

I have a Tex case, which I really like. Is it possible to fit a Poker X pcb in the Tex case?

Also, is it correct that the Poker X works in PS/2 mode, so you can connect it directly to a teensy?

Poker X should fit the Tex case just fine (http://www.johndiew.com/2012/05/kbc-poker-x/).

Not sure how the board detects and sets the mode, but I guess if you use a PS/2 adapter it should switch it into PS/2 mode. Vortex claim it has NKRO in PS/2 mode, hence it should actually HAVE a PS/2 mode

Thank you. Now I really want to swap my Poker II PBC/plate with a Poker X. I type hard and my fingers don't like tapping against solid metal and the TEX case make it solid enough. Also, I would much more prefer to have a teensy with TKL firmware instead of the limited programming options on the Poker II.

Yes the Poker X is really PS/2. The Poker 2 is USB only.

I use my Poker X with Hasu's PS/2->USB converter running the TMK firmware, which turns the Poker X into a fully programmable keyboard. My Poker X currently has the SpaceFN layout thanks to the converter.

In 11 days, it will be two months since I joined GH. The first thing I'll do is to post a WTB: Poker X/Poker X PCB.

I can't understand why the designers of the Poker boards went from PS/2 to full USB mode, when they knew they'd be selling most boards to enthusiasts.
