That is one of my goals in life. I do not want to be one of those guys who spends the rest of his life listening to the same music he was listening to in his 20's. Classic Rock radio is cool for short periods of time for the nostalgia factor, but I cringe when I run into people who still trying to have a Peaceful Easy Feeling while getting the LED out and are Back in Black with Bad Company every weekend.

I just voted. I listen to SOME of the same music as the 26 year olds I work with. Some of those and even younger ones can't keep up with me. I have a 32 year old married daughter. I'm in better condition than most of the kids I work with (this is a very sad fact). I am 54...55 in 10 weeks.
Age is how you live it.

No, I don't mean old IBMs for my main computers, I mean the modern ones (the ones that everyone seemingly hates). There actually were some quad core IBM computers made: but I haven't seen any of them poking around ebay.

Hey I loved windows 98; some of those DOS games were cool: even if the same graphics were around 10 years prior :)

Yeah, I never really knew about the "Commodore 64" or "amiga" until way later. I always knew about macs, those vices of blight.

I would assume vintage keyboards are popular with the older people who used them and could judge when rubber domes came along. Whereas the 'youngins in my generation are completely oblivious of the horrible keyboards they utilize.

ECC RAM, LED lights on mobo to detect certain problems accompanied by warning LED on front panel (DIMMs, fans, PCI cards etc), SCSI adatper, SAS adapter (with side rails), BTX (better than ATX), and can't think of anything else at the top of my head.
I do like how roomy they are and the vast multitude of ports.

I see nothing in that list which hasn't been available at one time or another, or probably currently available if you look hard enough, on hardware you could buy for a custom build.

For $300 xD

I guess you probably COULD make something remotely similar with custom building, but it would take a lot of time, searching for the right parts, etc. I like having it all prebuilt with a cool stripey IBM.

ECC: Go into the Server motherboards section of Newegg. Problem solved.
Diagnostic LEDs: Some motherboards have that, and there's PCI cards that give that.
SCSI: Again, go into the Server motherboards section. Or look for "SCSI adapter."
SAS: See SCSI.
Side rails: Pick the right case. Spend 5 minutes reading case reviews.
BTX: Uh... that's debatable. BTX only made sense in a machine pumping out Pentium 4 heat levels, and fails miserably when the memory controller is built into the CPU, which is why there were very few BTX AMD systems. And now Intel CPUs also have the memory controller built in.

Nothing I'd miss, although those LEDs would have been nice. My brother has an ASUS motherboard with such a feature.
I don't care about ECC RAM, so I don't want to pay for it.
Oh, and BTX is no issue if you take a case with the PSU at the bottom. My Antec P183 does it nicely.

You are entitled to your opinion, but I prefer a newer machine.
