Poker II iso vs ansi keycaps
« on: Tue, 10 June 2014, 10:02:01 »
Have you noticed that Poker II ISO keycaps looks like crap compared to ANSI version?

I want to get this keyboard, but the only place where I find one has only ISO layout. It's funny how it comes with 2 long green shift keys - there isn't one who would fit on the left side. It also looks so asymmetrical...

Too bad there aren't a lot of 60% keyboards to choose from.

Your first link doesn't work (403 - Forbidden)
But in the second link it has ABS backlit keycaps, maybe the first link has PBT keycaps?

Give that link another try. It has gave me the same error before, but after that it worked.

Maybe the second link is a wrong picture. I'm not even sure anymore. Amazon is always messed up.

Here is where I found this ISO keyboard.

I still can't get the link to work, if it looks like this http://imagehost.vendio.com/a/35122654/aview/POKER2-1.jpg then it's PBT and not backlit ABS like in the second link
If they are both Backlit ABS then I have no idea  ;)

I had the same problem. I ended up getting a KBT Pure Limited ANSI layout with Browns, since I couldn't find a Poker2 with ANSI layout from a european vendor and didn't want the hassle of customs.

Apparently munch (in Sweden) is selling a Poker X (PCB mounted and not programmable, but standard ANSI layout): http://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=59333.0

Otherwise it looks like you'll have to order a Poker 2 from outside EU.

And I agree, ISO Poker 2 looks lame somehow, much prefer ANSI layout for a number of reasons.
Buying more keycaps,
it really hacks my wallet,
but I must have them.
