[WTS] Nikon AF-S NIKKOR 55-300mm [WTB] Metal IBM BS Caps
« on: Mon, 07 July 2014, 22:57:23 »
WTS:

Nikon AF-S NIKKOR 55-300mm f/4.5-5.6G ED VR Zoom Lens $250 shipped

I got this with my camera but I don't plan on using it anytime in the near future. It brand new, it has never been opened. It includes the hood, case, and filter attachment.

WTB: I wanted to see if some of the people who bought the WASD set from Techkeys wanted to sell their packs. I don't have the stock picture from Techkeys but here is a picture of them. Thanks!

This looks awesome. Can't find them on techkeys though. How much did they cost at retail?
Most of the modding can be done on your own once you break through the psychological barriers.

They have been gone a while now, I can't remember what they cost at retail, I keep thinking it was $30 for a set of four. i3oiler would know better than me though.

osrix is the guy who actually made them.

He is a sculptor in England and a very nice guy.

I suspect that they are a lot of work and unless they sold for several dollars each, minimum, it just wouldn't be worth it.
"However, even though I was born in the Mesozoic, I do know what anyone who wants to reach out to young people should say: Billionaires took your money. They took your chance to buy a home. They took your chance at a good education. They stole your opportunities. Billionaires took the things you want in life. If you really want those things, you have to take them back.
That's the message. That's the whole message. Say that every day, not just to reach America's frustrated young white men, but people of every age, race, and gender.
Late-stage capitalism is a wealth-concentration engine, focused on vacuuming up every dollar and putting it in as few hands as possible. Republicans are helping that vacuum suck.
How does a tiny fraction of the population get away with this? They do it by dividing the other 99% of Americans against themselves."

Yes I talked to him a quite a bit back then when he was still active. I'm not sure what you mean by it wouldn't be worth it. I'm asking if the people who bought them would want to sell.

The picture is mine above.

Worth it for the trouble of casting them, finishing, packing and shipping.

They are great and I would love to have a full or partial set.

I bought a metal (zinc) WASD set for my son's Cherry Filco and he loves it.

Yeah I had asked him about making more in the past and he said he probably would not. I'm just hoping some people who bought from Techkeys would sell. I have enough for an alpha set but would like to get enough for the "F" keys.

Question about that M metal keycap... was that another of the techkey keycaps from a while back?

Looks pretty cool...
My 122 key Model M was born on July 25th, 1988.

I have four of his prototype keycaps that he produced before the techkey sale. Never really used them and not sure if I ever will. Send me a pm if you're interested.
