Buckling rubber sleeve, right? Anyone like these? (I think he needs to try some other types of keyswitches

)
Anyone know what type of keyswitches were used on the IBM Thinkpad 701 (the “butterfly” keyboard)? My family had one of those when I was a kid, and I found the switches to be quite a bit too stiff for my taste. Someone at IBM must have really liked stiffer keyboards: whatever the butterfly keyboard had, brown Alps switches in the PC Convertible 5140, Model M buckling springs, etc. In general nice tactile switches, but they’d be even much nicer still if you reduced the actuation force by 10–20%
