[WTB] I need your Wang
« on: Fri, 11 July 2014, 21:59:59 »
Like the title says, I need your Wang...724 that is.  I just bought my one splurge purchase for probably the next decade with a Kingsaver.  Ideally, you need a Wang 724 cap set for it.  Aside from the keyboard being designed around it, it's sexy dyesub PBT goodness.  Since I sell stuff at reasonable prices, I'm hoping someone will sell to me at a reasonable price.  If $$$ alone isn't good enough, I also have artisan caps and other stuff I can add to sweeten the deal.

Ouch, the guy who does the Northgate repairs wants $150 for a Wang with Black Alps.  Dude is crazy.

Dang... didn't know you meant a keyboard.

Well...

I'm pretty sure I've got a spare set of Wang 724 caps for a Kingsaver...they aren't in superb condition iirc (yellowed and whatnot). I'll have to check when I get home.

I'm guessing you didn't find any?  Thanks for checking.

Actually..I do have a spare set.  I'll count it out tonight to see if it's a full set.  It's been RGB dyed though (ctrl, alt, and shift).

I have a Wang MEC-101S. It has alps doubleshots with winkeyless layout. However it has bigass enter and 1x backspace. Keys are a little dirty, but nothing a quick wash/rinse can't fix.

Let me know if this might work for you. It would be pretty cheap.

There are other Alps PBT dye-sub sets, so all nubbinator really *needs* from the Wang is the delete, backslash, enter, right shift, and (ideally) spacebar and both sets of alt/ctrl keys.

Nubbinator: if you find yourself short any other keys (I don’t have a Wang 724, but I do have a few old Alps boards with PBT dyesubs), we can probably work out a reasonable price.
