Leopold Thick PBT keycaps set (sticky shifts)

I ordered a set of Leopold Thick PBT keycaps and I just put them on my Filco TKL. I was having problems with the left and right shifts sticking so I had to use O-rings because apparently the profile vs thickness makes the stabilizer inserts catch. This doesn't occur when I just leave the key unstabilized.

Has anyone else had this problem with thick cherry profile caps on costar stabilized boards?

sounds like you have the white inserts the wrong way.

they are NOT symmetrical.

if that doesn't so've it, people sometimes take a butter knife and slightly scrape off some plastic where it keeps sticking.

Yeah, I've done that several times, but no. I checked and re-checked the inserts and they're in their correct orientation with the overhanging piece at the 12 o'clock position. Even tried switching it around to see if perhaps these caps were just different. No dice. The o-rings solved the problem, but it makes the caps sit about half a mm higher than the rest. Not really that noticeable and I didn't want to go carving around on new caps.

I have the same clearance problems with costar stabs and cherry pom caps.
