Vintage spherical keycap sources / Keyboards

I've looked and looked but I cant seem to find anything definitive. Does anyone know which, if any, keyboards out there that have old school spherical keycaps are compatible with cherry MXs? I've seen some with the cross post but them I look and see that even is its a cross that may not even be compatible.


Im wondering though...maybe there aren't any because otherwise the $100+ keycap sets wouldn't sell all that well wound they?

Basically id like some nice old school looking keys, if possible, but I cant and wont spend as much as they cost on these group buys. Its just too much for me to justify and even if I could somehow I cant afford that.

I'm not quite sure what board have verified caps that will fit on MX boards but here is a nice Wiki entry on vintage Cherry keyboards and what keycaps they'll have on them.

So how about the old spherical keycaps? I know there are old Cherries that are but I cant find a straight answer on whether they fit on MXs or not.

Any other spericals to look for that may fit

I'm pretty sure only caps from G81s and G80s will fit the MX stems. I'm not a Cherry expert though. SA caps definitely fit.
