Now the question is :

Will we be getting incomplete order with missing caps and misprinted legends ?

I have still never seen a complete International kit  (please correct me if I'm wrong) and that issue was reported two weeks ago.

Got this answer from MassDrop so it seems that keys were never produced and they are gathering numbers before making SP redo the job .

With my 1st order, I also got that message : " we're very sorry [...] please wait while we are compiling a list of affected orders "

But if no one ever got a complete Intl kit, what is MassDrop waiting for ?

The only part of this thats actually crap is the sideways and misaligned Pause/Break Icon Key.

Everything else is pretty great actually, except I don't need it all, so I'll be updating my Classifieds thread with the extras. ;)

Hi there, today Dec. 23 I got mine (Austria) and some keys ar bent and keys where the buttom side has uneven sharp edges and some of them are not propperly trimmed. I am missing in the international set the complete second to last row. I need only 5 of them. But this is defenitly a downer waiting so long - not getting proper quality - paying a lot for something that turns out to be a hassle.  SP has pretty much tought me a lesson....

The good news is that I finally recieved my bonus pack :)

The bad news is that in both the Massdrop as well as the Bonus Pack, Signature Plastics seems to have misaligned quite a few of the Icon Keycaps.

The poor "pause/break" keycap is probably the worst.

But its still apparent with many others.

I really like the caps other than the misprinting, but this is really annoying. :/

I contacted Massdrop, I don't know what they're going to do about it though. So many people ended up with screwed up kits. It's such a bummer, the keys themselves are so nice.

I hope this do not prevent you to proceed with your upcoming SA kits, after all, the quality issues were related with SP learning curve for PBT injection molding and die sublimating for the legends, nothing to do with double shot SA in ABS, as far as I know most SA kits have been manufactured with no issues.

I am personally pretty happy with how everything turned out. O love PBT and the texture and the colors look great. Sure some keys had a little blemishes on the back (no enough plastic?) but it doesn't really show when put on a board. If I didn't read about people having (slightly) off centered legends I would have never noticed them. For the price everything should have been perfect, but I am still very glad that this but happened and that I have this kit. Thanks Matt!

So we have
10 missing keys in the international set,
an FN key that is only 1u,
warped enter and Space keys,
the , ; key is vertically flipped,

so quite a lot things did not work out as expected.

Just received my 2nd order (+ bonus pack from SP) and yeap I can confirm every single issue you have.

Massdrop sent those international sets knowing that a complete row was missing since the beginning of December (see my post).

Sadly - as Matt3o explained (here) - MD does not really give a f*ck about European customers.

Not cool.

I really hope we'll have the missing and faulty keycaps replaced , the main selling point of this keyset to me was the possibility to create a Azerty Keyset . At least I got a notification that the keycap puller was being sent , it wasn't in the original package .

It's the rgb keys. If you check the massdrop discussion thread they got massdrop to send them their incomplete orders because the rgb keys were taking too long.

Not sure I know what happened here. But correct me if my view is different than yours (plural)....
SP produced faulty products  - MD did not check the international packages properly or they did but sent out anyways - as everyone was already waiting for their caps.

I would not know what MD could or should have done other than - send out knowing it is not perfect. At the same time MD should go back to SP tell them they to do some of the stuff again - and send the faulty/remaining in a second swing/attempt. But the production capacity of SP is probably not flexible enough to cover these extra compensation/reparation production. Looking forward how they deal with it. Given the fact that for MD this shipping represents a lot of customers. They hopefully care about the group of customers of keyboard afficionados - but even if they care the question remains is SP willing to MD to do so because m a y b e SP wants to damage MD as a distribution channel and push their own... pimpmykeyboard?

All this is based on my fictitious ideas and I have no real info!

SP is responsible for defective caps, it does not matter the distribution channel, so I do not think that producing defects is a maneuver to make MD seems bad. However, the sorting is all on MD, and this may be a difference on your selection of distributor. I bought Granite and Skull's with SP and had no sorting issues, and they replaced 1u defective key caps, so it was very nice customer service, I do not know if MD will be like that. I bought an Infinity set so I may tell if they get it done OK, when I get it.

I havent done any detailed inspection but some of it even 1u caps are a bit warped. Ill try to check later and get some pics of how warped it is.

I don't think I ever posted a pic of my Viper with round 2 stuff on it.

And my Poker as well.

You probably won't be able to see it because this is a shot of the top of the caps, but the 1.25 caps have a slight warp to them.

Not too bad. About as much as the ones from my R1 set.  I will have to wait until I put them on a board with my R1 caps to see for sure.

fwiw, if you ever want to break up that kit, or sell the whole thing... let me know

Which keys from that set are you looking for? I have the 2 sets at the top of that picture that I would be willing to part with.
