Missing the bottom left key, I did find a much nicer looking one in the states for reference..

Does anyone know anything about this board (eg does it need a converter to run on a normal pc)?

Yep, it's a terminal board. The giveaways are: No indicator lights, and a right angle connector. The 1390120 is the only PC compatible Model M without indicator lights.
