So I came across this keyboard at the local thrift store today. It's a Fujitsu FKB-8725-151 with a DIN-5 connector.
I figured I'd just pick it up as it was only $3.99 CAD. Although it is rubber dome, it is absurdly quiet and feels very snug. The spacebar especially has no rattle at all and sounds exactly like any other key being pressed.
The keycaps are two-piece, with the outer cap looking being relatively thick plastic, possibly PBT, and shallow. Underneath, there is a white plastic plunger that goes into the hole containing the rubber dome.
It is interesting that it has a DIN-5 connector but also the windows keys, although I believe it was also available with a PS/2 connector. I'm guessing this is from the mid 90s, circa '95-'97.
Anyways, I don't have much else to say about it. Searching for it turned up nothing so I thought I would make a post for any future viewing. I'm going to open it up and replace the cable with a PS/2 connector and maybe use it at work. I don't mind leaving a $4 keyboard around... sure beats typing on the Dell E5420 laptop keyboard, and has that classic look nobody else rocks these days.
