NMB RT-101+ Keycaps?
« on: Fri, 05 September 2014, 08:24:56 »
I sold a NMB RT-101+ keyboard with the space invader switches on eBay. Three keycaps came loose in route to the buyer and the buyer claimed one keycap was missing. Long story short, they filed a claim and eBay is issuing a refund and I'll be receiving a keyboard back with a missing arrow key. Anyone know where I could find a replacement?

Edit: This should have gone into the keycap forum. Sorry mods. Tried to delete the thread. Can it be moved?

Based on the profile, I would say it looks like it needs a left arrow, not right.

They're not too common, but if you find someone who's refurbished one of these or made a parts unit, they may have a spare.

I bet Fohat has some spares.

Everybody keeps pointing at me.

If it were a regular key, I would probably have spares. Arrow keys, Escape, and WASD are the ones that I would most like to keep for dyeing experiments, etc.

I will look to see what I have.

Yeah, that was a picture the buyer sent to me. He also claimed it was "damaged" because the keys came off. The buyer was just an eBay agent for Chinese buyers. I haven't received it back, yet.

I have a set of arrow keys from an Amiga 2000 that are a fairly strong beige/yellow color (almost looks like regular "pearl" with coffee stain) and the legends are upper left.

I don't think they would look very good on that keyboard, but it would fill the space.

I appreciate that! I think I'll just keep an eye out. Thank you, though.
