Sorry if I'm in the wrong thread... first post here
I just assembled my ergodox and I am having some kind of weird issue with the left pad.
as soon a I plug it in, I get these weird behaviors :
1. (I have custom massdrop qwerty layout) last row seems to be always on : so I am getting capital (because of the left shift on the row) BVCXZ and then nothing will work on the row.
2. probably because of 1. the keyboard mapping keyboard (even the right pad that is working) gets messed up.
3. I soimetime get a usb using too much current warning coming from my mac.
I checked all the diodes. they seem ok.
My guesses right now are either that the MCP23018 I/O expander is burned OR that one of the two 3.5mm TRRS connectors is not working.
Help on what to check (and how to check) as I am not a master of the multimeter would be greatly appreciated
