60% or TKL GON?

Looking to add a custom GON to my collection but I can't decide what size. I want the board to be "future proof" which makes me want to go TKL since you never know when you might want arrow keys. But I absolutely love the 60% size because of the desk space it saves. What's GH's take?

I actually really like the look of the acrylic GON Nerd TKL. Moving onto that board just so I can actually play games like Starcraft again. My 60% really screwed me over since I couldn't use the F-keys easily anymore.

you can also get a cherry numpad, which are cheaper. some are fully programmable . others are partially programmable. either way, 60% with numpad is the way to go imo

I'm telling you man, the Nerd TKL. I don't know if my 60% board could be completely future proof. But I guess it's really up to you if you don't think you'll ever need actual arrow keys or F-keys.

I like 60%, but if you're concerned about not having arrows.... I can't decide for you. So my advice is:

Nah if I had to have one keyboard and never have any other keyboards ever again - it would 100% be my hhkb. 60% for life

i personally like TKL because the arrow keys may come in handy in games and whatnot. 60% looks too crammed up imo. the GON TKL looks pretty sweet as well.

Makes sense for people that can make it work, imo.  Is one more keystroke a bit more inconvenient?  Sure, probably.  Do I lose a noticeable amount of productivity, personally?  Nope.  I actually find sometimes it's easier for me to use a 60% unless I'm doing pure data entry or something similar in which case I'd just grab a numpad like demik said.

I would go with the TKL for the F keys, especially if you play RTS. I've thought about going to a 60% several times and know that I could adapt to it,
but I would be missing the F keys.

I disagree. Your hands don't need to move anywhere, you can do everything without moving your hands really. The biggest thing to learn with 60% is being able to touch type the number row fast. I used to be a heavy numpad user, but then when I started using 60% more, I just got really into touch typing the numbers on there instead, now Im rubbish trying to enter numbers using a numpad so my numpad barely ever gets used.
