Keyboard with LED, Lamp, and USB 2.0 Hub Mod
« on: Sun, 21 June 2009, 12:55:11 »
Hey all,

I just finished a new mod.... It was a Dell USB Keyboard (I'll follow up with exact model and pictures later today), and I added the following mods:

a) 3 Blue LEDs underneath that come on when the SCROLL LOCK button is pushed.

b) An LED Gooseneck Lamp that is removable, and is activated when the SCROLL LOCK button is pressed. This attached via a 3.5mm male headphone jack that goes into the 3.5mm female headphone jack flush-mounted to the top of the keyboard.

c) The keyboard has a 4 port USB 2.0 Hub mounted underneath. The Keyboard occupies one of these ports. The keyboard attaches to the computer via a removable 10ft USB cable. So, I can have 3 additional devices attached, with only ONE cord going to the computer....less clutter!

d) Hammered Black paint job, with a hard-candy, clear-coat finish...

Works great!

Later,

Matt!

Hey all,

I hope to have the pics up soon.  Also, on the face, all mods are concealed!

Sound pretty interesting?  anyone here ever tried a hub addition mod like this before?

Matt!
