Though I'd drop in to say hi - I've been lurking for a couple of weeks now, and am a total novice in the world of mechanical keyboards.
I am your average second-millenium kid, brought up in an education system which put little value on typing skills or touchtyping abilities - but I am slowly coming around and learning.
I am a budding computer hardware enhusiast and modder, having just completed the my first rig, with plans to rebuild it heavily modified and watercooled in the near future. I took engineering as a subject through GCSE, and thusly have experience with basic soldering, metalworking and laser cutting, as well as some grip on 2D CAD/CAM.
Indeed, I have yet to purchase a mechanical board - however I am very much drawn to the Poker II, and it is likely that will be the board I go for - in brown switches with PBT caps and no backlight - I plan to do my own LEDs and perhaps laser or CNC out a case...
Here are some of my interests other than keyboards and PC hardware: I dabble in amateur astronomy, I have taken an interest in digital artwork following my rediscovery of sketching earlier this year, I am a brony - as might be surmised from my avatar

, transhumanism, browsing 4chan and the wider internet, firearms, flight simulation, aviation and astrodynamics, gaming - mainly realism-FPS and RPG games, dabbling in MOBAs and a touch of 4x strategy.
