Das Keyboard before and after....
« on: Sat, 04 October 2014, 12:10:56 »
So I just got this Das... From a friend for about $75 was going to be $100 but kind of a nasty board.... He said it was a clean board, and was in decent shape. It creeks a bit, but that doesn't really bother as I don't move keyboard too often.

So.... This was supposed to be a clean board.
I think not. Something under the keys is kind of sticky. I'm suspecting something was spilled. It's not a whole lot of gunk...

After I found some glasses cleaner and cleaned it up a bit... Still not really done though.
And caps also. I need new caps for this board really badly lol. The whole ledt side of the board doesn't look as white and the other side. Oh well.

How it sits for now...

Mine get the compressed air treatment once a week and get a deep clean once every three months.

compressed air

just turn it over and shake dude, compressed air isn't very good for your keyboards

I clean my shine once a month lol.
I love keeping them clean. I seem to be the clean one out of the family in terms of keyboards.
I just need to find something that I can clean the corners with. Or pull the top off and clean it like that.

Oh my god I just thought of something. KeyboardFax. Shows the boards full history, cleanings, spills, and previous owners...

I'm not terribly worried about it damaging anything. The cans don't put out enough pressure to damage anything, and I've never experienced a problem with my MX switches during long term exposure.
